Having just created your new website, it all too quickly becomes clear that launching a website is only the beginning. Towards the end of this article I have provided some vital tips and links for an immediate impact.

The real challenge we all face is driving the QUALITY TRAFFIC.
Attracting your customers and getting your website working for you!

After seeing a fair few Google Analytic accounts, you really do begin to get a good idea as to what is in fact going on out there…

For example:

40% of the traffic may come from the search engines,
30% may come from a social network,
10% may be direct traffic and perhaps 20% from referral websites!

The point is,the traffic is not coming from one specific place.

For the purpose of return on investment, the following marketing platforms are suggested simply because they work best:

Google UK
Facebook, Linkedin and or Twitter
Find a good group/forum (Get involved)
Set up an email marketing account (Communicate)

Often people get overwhelmed when they consider the likes of Facebook, Linkedin and or Twitter.
The simple truth of the matter is, the world we live in communicates over the internet. Only recently I read a statistic that claimed we are exposed to advertising an average of 4000 times a day.

Meaning your marketing must “cut the mustard” and stand aside from the competitor.

Another very interesting statistic I heard claimed that a potential customer must hear of your brand at least “27 times before he/she will make a decision”. This figure is clearly ridiculous, nevertheless it should scream out the importance of email marketing!!!!

Remember with all these things. There is NO NEED TO REINVENT THE WHEEL. If there are concerns with setting up a facebook account. See what and how your competitors have done and look at other businesses online!
The key to the above is research.

Don’t just create a Facebook account and leave it. Rather interact, feed it, it may well be the making of your business.

Now for some vital tips and links to ensure you are getting those free back links and pushing your website in the right direction!

1)Write a good Press release and get it out to some free Press release websites. FREE BACK LINKS

http://www.1888pressrelease.com

http://www.pressbox.co.uk/

2)Directories and niche Directories (FREE)

http://www.directoryarchives.com/

3)Submit Articles (FREE)

http://ezinearticles.com/

4)Submit comments on Blogs (FREE/ amazing)

http://www.digeratimarketing.co.uk/2007/07/20/over-160-relevant-link-following-blogs/

5)Social bookmarking (FREE)

http://www.onlywire.com

6)Build up quality back links (review your competitors)

http://www.linkdiagnosis.com/

Hope the above helps.
Until the next time. Brandon Sandler,

As a consumer there is nothing worst than arriving at a website, not being truly convinced in the web brand, product or perhaps authenticity of the site and so he or she leaves, never to be seen again..

Straight back to Google to find another website. Your Competitor.

The bounce rate is purely a person arriving at the website…
Not convinced they have arrived at the right place, so they bounce!

Clearly this is a huge problem for the website owner.

For example, say you get two hundred people arriving at your website every week and the bounce rate is 50%.
What this means is 50% of the people arriving at your website are leaving without saying a word.

This is even more painful to see when such website owners invest heavily into pay per click and yet still has a ridiculously high bounce rate.

When we take a moment to review a website. That is what the pages are actually asking the user to do? The feel of the pages, the ease of navigation? Do we begin to build a clearer picture!

When we go that one step further and install the valuable tracking software “Google Analytics” do we really start to see statistically what is actually going on…

And this is where true web marketing comes into being.

Here at UK Best Web Marketing. We stay current with the latest web marketing strategies and techniques to ensure our heightened ability to generate quality traffic and vital to every business owner on the planet. CONVERSION.

Current web marketing strategies include Seo, Social Networking and email marketing to generate high quality traffic.

We implement full trend analysis and maximise on all aspects of User Experience to ensure maximum conversion ratio.

As standard we install Google Analytics and Web master tools on all websites.

We offer a competitive high quality service with prices starting from as little as £100.

All our web marketing work is results based and we only ask for a final payment, once our objectives has been met.
Guaranteed niche traffic increase or NO Final payment.

Where will you be in 2010?

A new year is very much on the horizon – exciting hey! For what it’s worth, I can not actually believe 2010 is around the corner. Buy hey there you go!

So what are you going to be doing with regards to generating new business – where will you be in 2010?

Cold calling, Magazine promo, leaflet dropping, Articles, Radio adds, Email marketing, Seo, Blogging????

Now let me be blunt.

If you have not included a digital marketing strategy/agenda into your plans.
You are quite simply making life difficult for yourself.

Especially considering

Within just a minute you can find a group online and interact.
Within just a second you could send every facebook friend an invite to your website.
Within just a second you could improve the content of your website to focus your business into more niche territories.

The list is truly endless.

In reality I write these articles for a number of reasons.

The first, it keeps me in touch with you, my potential customer.
Number two, I love the subject of web marketing.
And number three whether you ever do business with me or not. I would like to think my ramblings push you in the right direction.

That direction is:

Search engines, Social, Database development (email marketing), user experience and trend analysis.

These five points are the direction I point my company, as they are the aspects of digital marketing, that I believe, all entrepreneurs/ business owners/ marketers need to be aware of.

EVERYDAY SINGLE DAY I read articles and reviews, highlighting the simple truth. The digital world is advancing at a phenomenal rate. Impacting ALL.

For instance – what our own government is doing on Twitter

Other interesting reads are the power giants Linkedin and twitter bridging together with an application

The point I am trying to make here, is not to go on about a new social networking tool, yes they exist.
What I am trying to do is make you ask the question.

Are you best targeting your potential consumers?

If not then now is the time to change.

Until the next time.

Happy marketing

Well perhaps that’s not completely true. Nevertheless as I march ever forward into the world of search engine optimisation, social networking and database development. It becomes ever more inevitable that perhaps one of the greatest problems we actually face as web masters and business owners is not the reality we are unable to generate traffic to our websites. No, this is certainly achievable!

Rather… The real problem lies in the fact we just don’t seem to have a clue what to do when our precious targeted customer arrives at our website and simply leaves without saying a word…

What I am refering to is USER EXPERIENCE and TREND ANALYSIS

If you take just one key point away from this article. It should be this…

A high traffic website does not guarantee a thing. NOT A THING. Maximise on USER EXPERIENCE and TREND ANALYSIS and you automatically upgrade to playing a much bigger game.

For instance, have you installed www.google.com/analytics on to your website yet? ITS FREE

If you have done go right ahead and login.

The Bounce gives you a very real picture as to the number of potential customers that are arriving at your website (daily) and simply leaving without saying a word.
BAD NEWS – ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE PAYING FOR TRAFFIC..

Inevitably ongoing considerations must include:

1)Observation

There is simply no getting away from it.
The moment you understand what is going on with the users that are arriving at your website. The moment you are able to face your responsibility and create a better working model.

2)Experimentation

Once you have got your head around, what exactly those users are doing on your website. Maximise! Ask the questions, why are they going to that particular page? What are they looking for? Are they finding what they are looking for? Are those pages getting my message across?

Final tips to take home

The user is looking for a particular product or service. Ensuring your website meets those expectations is the key to successful conversion..

Don’t over design, make it complicated and don’t put things in peoples way.
It is a fact Google succeeded by keeping it simple – yet in the background they deliver.
Keep it fast – people hate delay.
Be an Authority – Be honest – Give links to credible sources
Always get a second opinion – especially when designing – Always get your customers feedback.
Show people your human side
Speak your users language

And that is it…Deep breath… Any more pointers or thoughts it is always nice to hear from you.
Happy marketing, Brandon Sandler, Web marketing Manchester specialist.

With over two years experience in the recruitment industry, I will be the first to stand up and say picking up a telephone and cold calling is your bread and butter.

The problem however with picking up a telephone and for that matter other “outbound techniques”, is simply this, my potential customer is being bombarded with outbound marketing campaigns including cold calls from similar businesses.

Therefore from a cold perspective generating new business, I must be at the right place at the right time. Mixed in with the fact I am a dam good sales person.

When considering this form of outbound marketing, I am sure you will agree, it’s an uphill numbers game?
Not to mention timely and expensive?

Now consider this:

If I want to buy a mobile phone, will I A, review the mobile phone first on the internet or B, take a sales persons word for it???

Once I have made my review, will I A, buy the phone from an expensive shop on the high street or B, go online????

If I am looking for a job in sales, will I wait for a recruitment agency to call me???
If I am looking for a recruitment agency to help place a job vacancy, will I wait for the phone to ring????

NO – If I don’t already have a contact to help me – I will go online.

Why – Because we have become a digital nation.

Just as we moved on from the industrial revolution – so the internet has and does influence all aspects of business all over the world.

Google, Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Forums and Blogs. They are mediums which which use everyday. Whether for social or business –

WE USE THEM

. And as business owners, just as we are aware of tax implications, so as to expand, we must understand how the internet is affecting us a society.

Today is about connecting people and as business owners your highest priority in expansion.

We all know having your website found on Google UK is of massive importance.

Whether you are selling a product or a service, the simply reality is when the right key phrases are typed into Google and your website is found. You seriously increase your ability to make a profit from potential customers finding your website.

With the above in mind, business owners tend to opt for search engine optimisation or pay per click to drive targeted traffic to their websites.

Pay per click is without a doubt the quicker return for your investment; However with PPC the moment you take the pay per click marketing away, your traffic goes with it…

Natural search engine optimisation is very different as it more permanent, furthermore not dependent on paying for every click, if budget allows, you would do both.

What must be understood for the word go.

BE IT SEO OR PPC

IF YOU ARE TRYING TO MARKET YOUR WEBSITE
USING THE SEARCH ENGINES
YOUR WEBSITE MUST MEET GOOGLE EXPECTATIONS.

Yes Google has expectations…

FACT: Google succeeds by providing the end user with the information they require. It does not matter if you pay £100 per click, if your website, content and authority does not meet what Google feels valid for their end users, you are in short wasting your money. Both in terms of SEO and PPC.

YOUR WEBSITE

Google has an interest in your website as a whole, nevertheless your website is built up of nothing more than individual web pages. Google is interested in the UNIQUE & INFORMATIVE content that builds up your website and as such gives Google the reassurance that your website is an Authority and of interest to the end user.

Never dilute your website. That is have one page about recruitment and another page promoting swimming baths. Do yourself a favour create two websites.

LANDING PAGES

Whether pay per click marketing or SEO, make sure each page is specific to what that end user is looking for.

Make sure that the Google Add contains the same content on the web page as it does on the add. Example, “Telesales job in Manchester” ensure the web page has the content “Telesales job in Manchester”

TAKE ACTION
Do not assume the user will know what to do when they arrive at your website!
Apply now, request further information, guide them or loose them.

Google finds this of interest, so does your potential customer.

NICHE TERMS, NICHE TERMS, NICHE TERMS

Broad search terms are expensive harder to rank and not necessary – the term “web marketing” may cost £3.00 per click, likewise take two years to naturally rank for. However “Web marketing Manchester” may only cost £0.50 and can rank in three months..

Tip – when bidding on Google for key phrases. Avoid broad bidding and aim for exact phrases. You save money and only get the traffic you are looking for.

FIGHTING FOR THE TOP SPOT.

Don’t obsessive about the top spot. People search through at the least the first three/four. Likewise with pay per click.

Do throw cash at Google to give you a higher rank.

Let the competitor layout the costs of 1st position. It is just as effective being at position three.

BE CREATIVE.

Finally Avoid the same old boring content, that is think of ways to interest your potential customer. If your selling another credit card. Forget about ranking for (example- not factual data) “low rate credit card”, rather consider creating a topic about how ridicules credit card rates are… Generating interest by being creative…

Until the next time, Happy marketing Web marketing Manchester specialist Brandon Sandler

I don’t know about you, but it certainly seems true that at times we can loose our focus on our goals and aspirations. We become sidetracked, become influenced by others, or simply feel the world outside is to greater force to reckon with?

As I sit here, at Ridicules o’clock in the morning wondering what the point is to this very mail out. I recall some of the most valuable information that to date, I have been given, and it goes like this.

When Thomas A. Edison was asked about his failed attempts to create the light bulb, he replied “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

Thomas A. Edison like many visionaries saw a possibility, a goal to achieve, a goal that would change the world, and despite the odds, he made that vision a reality, a reality that we all take for granted every single day.

To achieve something great, we must persist until we achieve what we set out to achieve. That is FREEDOM and it is perfect.

I leave you now with the following few pointers & I wish the greatest of weeks. www.ukbestwebmarketing.co.uk

   1. Begin with the end in mind – That is, when you get the idea to do something, focus only on the end goal. Not the chaos of how.
2. Write yourself a mission statement, a reason/ purpose for why you do what you do! It is a great way to ensure you do not loose focus or get side tracked. Make sure the mission statement is in constant view.
3. Figure out what things if done every day will bring the greatest return for your success. Picking up a phone, supporting an existing customer???
4. Once understood what will bring the greatest return for your success. Set weekly goals and monthly quotas to meet and excel.
5. Every morning create a to do list and tick off each action as it is completed.

   6. Every single day you do this; give yourself a pat on the back.

Here are my top 6 Ultimate Tips which may well of interest. Happy marketing.

Quick on-line tips, you can do NOW

   1. Sign up to Google Business Local

This is a great little way of generating free traffic in your local area.

Simply sign up via the above link.
In the field “Company/Organization” rather than adding the name of your business, add your most valuable key phrase.

For example for me, this would be “Web Marketing Manchester”

There is no guarantee Google will rank you for this keyphrase, but after a few weeks you will definitely see the benefits of doing it.

   2. Sign up to a linkedin account.

This is a fantastic way of networking and generating a fast flow of interest.
Once you sign-up, invite your friends. Look over their friends.

A great tip is to use the search feature and search for “business owners” or “owner” or “MD”.

By searching by region you can find business owners in your immediate area and introduce yourself.
To give you an example, I often use “Manchester” and “business owner”.

   3. Start building a database and newsletter NOW. ITS FREE

I recently discovered a FANTASTIC “easy to use” email marketing tool. www.mailchimp.com

The tool will allow you to send a bunch of free emails every single month.

In my personal opinion, email marketing is the most valuable thing you can do to create a viable on-line business. A further article will be posted on this soon.

Quick off-line tips, you can do NOW

   4. Break down all aspects of valuable final product

The valuable final product for me is clearly getting a businesses website to the top of the search engines and generating them a profitable flow of customers.

To achieve this I must be able to deliver – this is my final product.

To deliver my product I must be able to have a stream of customers whom I can work with. Therefore a product of my business is promotion.

Of course other aspects/products include ensuring my business is constantly putting money aside.

Likewise ensuring my business meets all legal requirements.

My point is simply this. By understanding what products within the business exist, I am able to focus on that which matters most

(Product 1) Promotion
(Products 2) Service
(Product 3 ) Administration

The Pareto principle (also known as the 80-20 rule) This rule very simply implies as a rule of thumb 80% effect, is cased by 20% cause
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle

   5. Understand and monitoring your products

As pointed out in step 4) a business is made up of products, when we look at promotion, the products of promotion may well include how many cold calls are made in a day, or how many emails are sent out.

Only by monitoring how much promotion went out in that very day/ week VS what reaches came back into the business, can you begin to understand the trends. Thus reducing the risk factor and allowing you to focus on that which works.
There is more to follow on this subject.

    6. The value of promotion.

Whether you have £1000 to spend on promotion or NO money to spend on promotion. This does not change the fact, that without outflow/ promotion. You cannot hope to generate and sustain a profitable business.

    * An individual can pick up a phone.
* An individual can write an email.
* An individual can post articles around the internet
* An individual can drop of leaflets at a LOW cost.

To create any type of successful business, you must outflow. Further more in keeping with tip 5) you must monitor that flow. Understand it. For every call, email, flyer that goes out. What happens???

Until the next time. Happy marketing

Anyone seriously looking to develop their on-line business inevitably makes the decision that getting their website to the first page of Google, holds a great deal of value. See the latest weekly figures at Hitwise

The fact is your potential customers use Google UK.

You only have to look at what your competitors are paying for specific keywords to get the idea.

Why would an individual pay £3.00 a Click if there was little or no value in doing so? See

Google yourself,

simply type in a particular key phrase to get an idea as to what your competitors are up to?

Who gains. Google? Or your competitor? Or both?

Inevitably getting your website to the top of the search engines is a fantastic, cost effective way of generating on going interest. Not to mention increasing the power of your brand.

www.ukbestwebmarketing.co.uk

Guarantees the first page of Google.. Final payment due ONLY ON COMPLETION.

Meaning no traffic increase. No final payment!

Benefits of using an Seo specialist?

First and foremost with Seo and web marketing companies popping up on-line all the time. It makes sense to put your trust in a web marketing company that will pop-over and visit you, rather than an individual you will never see.

Second you get the personal service and outside perspective of working with a team that has a far better understanding of what is actually going on over the internet. Rather than taking the chance of doing it yourself.

Third is the reality of massively reducing the risk factor and costs associated with doing the work yourself.

Finally speed of return on investment.

A good seo specialist can achieve results in under three months. www.ukbestwebmarketing.co.uk offers two key phrases. Getting your website to the first page of Google within three months.

Guaranteed traffic or no final payment.

It must be six years now since I got involved and trashed a perfectly good opportunity, my first web business!

It was a entertainment portal! A place where artists would arrive at my website, sign up for free and in return share their passion with like-minded individuals.

Meanwhile in the background whilst the database developed, I would contact businesses selling them space on my directory.

It was a concrete plan, aside from my sheer lack of knowledge in:
A) Lack of research into a suitable development and design team.
B) Not truly understanding the importance of working to targets and setting goals.

For the purpose of this article, we will just look at point A,

TIP 1, BEFORE YOU COMMISSION ANY WEB DEVELOPER – SPEAK TO AT LEAST FIVE.
TIP 2, BEFORE DEVELOPMENT BEGINS ENSURE ALL DESIGNS ARE SIGNED OFF
TIP 3, DON’T OBSESS ABOUT PERFECTION GET THE PRODUCT OUT TO MARKET – IT WILL ALWAYS BE A WORKING PROGRESS

The importance of the above can not be under estimated.
Tip 3, does not mean do not provide a high quality product, rather market the high quality product sooner rather than later. You will always be perfecting your website.

You see, when I first got into web development and marketing I fell down because of not asking and looking at vital questions such as:

HOW LONG WILL THIS TAKE
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST
WHAT ASSURANCES CAN YOU GIVE ME (TIME FRAMES, CONTRACTS & PENALTIES)
WHAT DESIGN SUPPORT WILL BE PROVIDED
WHAT MILESTONES AND REPORTS WILL BE GIVEN
WHERE WILL THE WEBSITE BE HOSTED
WHAT HAPPENS ONCE THE WEBSITE IS COMPLETED I.E AFTER CARE SUPPORT
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEBSITE IS NOT WORKING
HAVE YOU BEEN INVOLVED IN SIMILAR PROJECTS – CAN YOU SHOW ME

I took the advice from a friend, met with a marketing company that charged me the earth for a website which took twelve months to be delivered. No real contracts were signed, they did not really know what they were doing. I got burned big style.

Another huge factor in the projects demise was that of constant change of the design. Yes this was of course my fault. However every change that I requested would take three months to change. All the while my funds were going down. Therefore getting designs agreed before you get into the depth of development will save money later.

In my experience gained over the last six years, the things that screams out the loudest is that when you get inspired to build an online business. If a developer is quoting the earth and claiming to take six months. Forget him and find someone better.

Websites as powerful as the likes of facebook can be put up within an evening for the less than the price of an expensive meal.

I am not in anyway trying to put down the role of a good development team, as without them you will run into serious difficulties. What I am saying is that today, the real issue at hand is that of attraction – constantly focusing on your marketing and getting people to your website.

ALWAYS REMEMBER

TIP 1, BEFORE YOU COMMISSION ANY WEB DEVELOPER – SPEAK TO AT LEAST FIVE.
TIP 2, BEFORE DEVELOPMENT BEGINS ENSURE ALL DESIGNS ARE SIGNED OFF
TIP 3, DON’T OBSESS ABOUT PERFECTION GET THE PRODUCT OUT TO MARKET – IT WILL ALWAYS BE A WORKING PROGRESS

Happy marketing
